Efferent ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy and providing you with control over your personal data. This User Data Deletion Policy explains your rights regarding the deletion of your personal data and the procedures to exercise those rights.
2. Right to Erasure
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data held by Efferent. This is commonly referred to as the "right to erasure" or "right to be forgotten."
3. How to Request Data Deletion
You can request the deletion of your personal data through the following methods: In-App/Account Settings: If applicable, you may delete your account and associated data directly within the Efferent app or website settings. Email Request: You can send an email to support@efferent.us with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." Please include enough information to identify your account (e.g., username, email address).
4. Process and Timeline
Upon receiving your request, we will verify your identity to ensure the security of your data. We will process your request within 30 days of verification. If the request is complex, we may extend this period by an additional 60 days, and we will notify you of any such extension.
5. Data Retention Exemptions
Please note that we may retain certain data even after a deletion request if required by law, to resolve disputes, or to enforce our agreements. Such retained data will be kept securely and only for as long as necessary.
