Cookie Policy
Effective Date: September 14, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Efficion LLC uses cookies and similar technologies on websites, applications, and online services associated with Efferent.
1. Purpose and Scope
This Cookie Policy explains how Efficion LLC uses cookies, local storage, pixels, software development kits, and similar technologies on websites, applications, and online services associated with Efferent. It supplements the Efferent Privacy Policy and should be read together with that policy.
2. What Cookies Are
Cookies are small data files stored on or accessed from a device. Similar technologies may store identifiers, remember settings, measure activity, protect sessions, or support integrations. Some technologies are necessary for the Services to function; others may be optional depending on configuration and applicable law.
3. Categories of Technologies
Efferent may use Strictly Necessary technologies for authentication, security, fraud prevention, load balancing, and core functionality; Functional technologies to remember preferences and workspace settings; Analytics technologies to understand performance and product usage; and, where implemented and legally permitted, Advertising or Marketing technologies to measure campaigns or personalize marketing.
4. Legal Basis and Consent
Where applicable law requires consent before non-essential technologies are placed or accessed, Efficion will seek consent through an appropriate consent mechanism. Strictly Necessary technologies may be used without consent where permitted because they are required to provide a service requested by the user or to maintain security.
5. Third-Party Technologies
Certain technologies may be provided by vendors supporting hosting, analytics, authentication, communications, customer support, security, or other Efferent functions. Third parties may process information under their own privacy terms where they act independently. Efficion will use contractual and technical controls appropriate to its relationship with service providers.
6. Managing Preferences
Users may manage available cookie preferences through the consent interface, browser controls, device settings, or other mechanisms made available by Efferent. Blocking certain technologies may affect authentication, preferences, integrations, or other functionality.
7. Global Privacy Control and Opt-Out Signals
Where required by applicable law, Efficion will recognize legally valid browser-based opt-out preference signals, including Global Privacy Control, for processing activities to which those signals apply.
8. Retention
Cookie and similar-technology retention periods vary according to purpose, configuration, and provider. Session technologies generally expire when a browser session ends, while persistent technologies may remain for a defined period unless deleted earlier.
9. Changes
Efficion may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in law, technology, vendors, or Efferent functionality. The revised effective date will be posted with the updated policy.
